Jesus Loves You, He Always Has And He Always Will

JESUS LOVES YOU, HE ALWAYS HAS AND HE ALWAYS WILL

Friends forever

   MY FOREVER FRIEND

Everybody needs a little help sometime,

No one stands alone,

Makes no difference if you’re just a child like me,

Or a King upon a throne.

For there are no exceptions,

We all stand in the Light,

Everybody needs a friend, Let me tell you of mine.

He’s my forever friend,

My leave me never friend,

From darkest night, to rainbow’s end,

He’s my forever friend.

Even when I turn away He cares for me,

His love no one can shake,

Even as I walk away He’s by my side,

With every breath I take,

And sometimes I forget Him,

My halo fails to shine,

Sometimes I’m not His friend, But He is always mine.

He’s my forever friend,

My leave me never friend,

From darkest night, to rainbow’s end,

He’s my forever friend.

If you still don’t know the one I’m talking of,

I think it’s time you knew,

Long ago and far away upon a Cross,

My friend died for you.

So if you’d like to meet Him,

And don’t know what to do,

Ask my friend into your heart,

And He’ll be your friend too.

He’s my forever friend,

My leave me never friend, darkest night, to rainbow’s end,

He’s my forever friend.

God is spirit. God is three persons in one (the Trinity). God the Father,  God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit, but they are ONE GOD.  The Trinity is not easy for our human minds to understand; but as we go on in our Christian faith and pray and read the Holy Bible more and more, it becomes easier to believe and understand.

God (the Trinity) is Eternal. He has always existed, long before time as we understand it. He created the world which we now live in. There will be a time when God will end this present age and set up His Eternal Kingdom. No one except God the Father knows when that will happen.

He is the same God today in this modern age, where life seems complicated and full of problems. He sees us in our loneliness and our struggles and offers us words of encouragement and advice. He is the God who is there, and He still cares. Most of us prefer a person or people near us when we are lonely, a hand we can touch, and a voice we can hear. God may provide that for us in His perfect time. Meanwhile, He is with us, and the very fact that we are physically alone can make His presence more precious than it would be if there were people around us. To believe that He is with us can help to dispel the aching loneliness.

As you look back on your life you will be able to see times when God was helping you, although you could not see this at the time.

mountain     valley

GOD ON THE MOUNTAIN

Life is easy when you’re up on the mountain

And you’ve got peace of mind like you’ve never known.

But then things change and you’re down in the valley.

Don’t lose faith for you’re never alone.

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.

When things go wrong, He’ll make it right.

And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times.

The God of the day is still God in the night.

You talk of faith when you’re up on the mountain.

Oh but the talk comes easy when life’s at its best.

But it’s down in the valley of trials and temptation

That’s when faith is really put to the test.

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.

When things go wrong, He’ll make it right.

And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times.

The God of the day is still God in the night.

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.

When things go wrong, He’ll make it right.

And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times.

The God of the day is still God in the night.

The God of the day is still God in the night.

God On The Mountain” words and music by Tracy G. Dartt

Day and night

We learn great truths about God’s love, mercy and faithfulness, and our heart is softened, when we are ‘in the valley’.

Sometimes we are faced with a situation we feel we can’t cope with. That’s when God steps in, if we allow Him, and lifts our head, strengthens our backbone and with His grace helps us make the seemingly impossible, POSSIBLE!

Animated cloud

He is with us when we face difficulties in our daily lives.

Knowing God was with me helped me cope when bringing up four children after my husband left home.  The same when my father died when my own children were still comparatively young.  My father had been an excellent male roll model for my children and I thought I would not be able to cope. Then I read in the bible  ‘Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

Many godly people in Scripture faced tasks which they believed were beyond them, but the confidence to carry on came through the assurance of God’s presence. For example, when Moses was called by God to return to Egypt and deliver the people from bondage, he shuddered at the enormity of the task. When he tried to protest God said “Certainly I will be with you” (Exodus 3:12). That was just the encouragement he needed to go on.

Again, after the nation’s sin with the golden calf, God told Moses to lead the people on to their promised land. But he was afraid to go until the promise was reaffirmed. Finally it was: “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:14). The promise of God’s presence was the inspiration he needed to do the job he was called to do.

When Joshua took over the leadership of the nation after Moses’ death, he struggled with the same lack of confidence. But God was right there to encourage him: “No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you” (Joshua 1:5). “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (verse 9). If God would be with him, he could conquer the land against insuperable odds.

When our Lord’s disciples heard His commission to make disciples of all nations, they must have trembled at the vastness of what they were being asked to do until the Lord added, “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). That would make all the difference in the world.

God never asks us to do anything by ourselves. When he gives us a job to do He promises to be with us as we do it. Whether it is teaching a class, witnessing to a friend, sharing our testimony with a group of unbelievers, lovingly confronting another Christian with his sin, or anything else He might want us to do, He is right there with us, directing, assisting, and enabling us as we do His will.

Flowers 4

He is with us when we face danger. The Apostle Paul faced many dangerous situations in the course of his apostolic ministry, one of which was in Corinth. The Jews there were disturbed at the great numbers of people turning to Christ and the situation seemed to be as potentially explosive as a barrel of TNT beside a campfire. Paul seriously considered leaving. “And the Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, ‘Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent; for I am with you, and no man will attack you in order to harm you, for I have many people in this city’” (Acts 18:9-10). The key to Paul’s courage was in those words, “I am with you.”

God said much the same thing to the tiny nation Israel when she was surrounded by giant world powers which threatened to destroy her. He says the same thing today.

Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

That is also His promise to us. There is nothing to fear for the child of God. He is present in all the places people sometimes fear. He is on that airplane, in that elevator, in that cramped room, on those high places, in that wild animal infested jungle, in that new and strange situation with people we do not know, in that operating room during delicate surgery, in the recovery room where the pain and discomfort are fierce. He was even in the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished to see four people in the furnace instead of only the three he had cast in (Daniel 3:24-25). It was a fulfilment of God’s promise to His people.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you (Isaiah 43:2).

Why should we fear anything when God is there? The Psalmist put it so beautifully.

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea (Psalm 46:1-2).

The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold (verse 7).

He will be wth us in death. Death is the ultimate source of fear and anxiety for many people. But again, God is right there with us.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me (Psalm 23:4).

When we face the death of a loved one, this thought brings greater consolation than all the well intentioned words of our human friends put together: God is with us. And when we face our own departure from this earthly scene there is no reason for alarm. God will accompany us right into Heaven’s glory.

The poem Footsteps is a great favourite with many people. It reminds us that God is always with us even when we feel that He is far away.

Footprints 2

FOOTSTEPS

I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord

and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,

one belonging to me, the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,

I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that many times along the path of my life

there was only one set of footprints.

I also noticed that it happened

at the very lowest and saddest times in my life.

I questioned the Lord about it.

“Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You,

You would walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,

there is only one set of footprints.

I don’t understand why in times when I needed You most, You would leave.”

The Lord replied,

“My precious child, I would never leave you during your times of trial and suffering.

When you see only one set of footprints, it was then I carried you.”

 Posy 4

What more can we ask? Wherever we go, whatever we face, our omnipresent Lord is with us. Ignore Him no longer. Let Him be part of every situation and circumstance. The awareness of His presence will add an exciting new dimension to the quality of your life and to the confidence you enjoy in living. Practice the presence of God in all the routine tasks you have to do, and when you are at leisure.  Be aware of the question ‘What would Jesus do in this situation’ when you are facing a difficult decision.

Begin to be aware of God’s presence. Greet Him at the beginning of each new day. Remember often through the day that He is right there with you. At bedtime rehearse the events of the day and think about how you could have allowed Him to be more a part of them, and what difference it would have made if you had. Say “goodnight” to Him before you drop off to sleep, remembering that He will be with you all night long.

At The End Of The Day

SUNSET 4

At the end of the day just kneel and say

“Thank you, Lord, for my work and play”.

I’ve tried to be good, for I know that I should

That’s a prayer for the end of the day.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So when the new dawn begins to break

Just lift up your eyes, let your heart awake

Be ready to meet what the day may send

And be ready to greet every man as a friend

Nobody knows what a power you have found

So do what you can for the others around

Carry them high when they seem to be low

As on your way you go.

At the end of the day just kneel and say

“Thank you, Lord, for my work and play”.

I’ve tried to be good, for I know that I should

I believe that one of the most important ways we can praise God and please Him, is to have a grateful and a contented heart. Depression melts away when we start to thank God for everything He has given us, instead of being resentful about the things we want but cannot have. We are so thankful for our children and grandchildren. We realise that they are all a gift from God. When we look back over our lives we are reminded of the many times our earthly parents, teachers and friends have taught and helped us. It is the same with our Heavenly Father God and our Heavenly friend Jesus. Many times we have been protected and guided by the hand of God.

THANK YOU 6

The words of the following song are so true.

THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS ON ME

Written and sung by The Easter Brothers.   (Listen to the tune on You Tube)

As the world looks upon me, as I struggle along They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong

In my heart I’m rejoicing, how I wish they could see

Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me

Chorus

There’s a roof up above me I’ve a good place to sleep

There’s food on my table And shoes on my feet

You gave me your love Lord And a fine family

Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me

Now I know I’m not wealthy, and these clothes ,

they’re not new I don’t have much money,

but Lord I have you And to me that’s all that matters,

though the world cannot see Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me

Chorus

There’s a roof up above me I’ve a good place to sleep

There’s food on my table And shoes on my feet

You gave me your love Lord And a fine family

Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me.

This poem is so true also.

Thank You, God, For Everything

Thank you, God, for everything,

The big things and the small.

For “every good gift comes from God”… The giver of them all.

all too often we accept, without any thanks or praise,

The gifts God sends as blessings, each day in many ways.

And so at this Thanksgiving Time,

we offer up a prayer…

To thank you, God, for giving us a lot more than our share.

First, thank you for the little things That often come our way,

The things we take for granted But don’t mention when we pray,

The unexpected courtesy, the thoughtful, kindly deed,

A hand reached out to help us in the time of sudden need.

Oh, make us more aware, dear God, of little daily graces

That come to us with “sweet surprise” From never-dreamed-of places.

Then, thank you for the “Miracles” We are much too blind to see,

And give us new awareness of our many gifts from Thee,

And help us to remember that the Key of Life and Living

Is to make each prayer a Prayer of Thanks

And every day Thanksgiving

THANK YOU 9

I love this Psalm from The Holy Bible. I think it is a promise from God to keep us safe when we totally give our lives over to Him and completely trust Him, because Jesus the Son of God gave His life so that we could be reconciled to God.

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,

10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Hidden Sins

HIDDEN SINS

Butterflies 7

We must be careful not to judge other people. God sees the hearts of everyone and He alone can judge. We must be careful of our own ‘hidden sins’ like jealousy, greed, envy, pride, boastfulness, hatred, resentment etc. They may not show but they harm our relationship with God. With God you have to be real. You cannot pretend because God knows your thoughts and motives.

Butterflies 6

Matthew Chapter 7 verses 1-5

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

The wonderful thing is God knows all about us and He loves us as we are, but He wants to help us to become better people with the help of His Holy Spirit living inside of us.

Matthew 15 verses 1-3 & 8-21 That Which Defiles

1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalemand asked,

2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”

3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?

8 These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.”

10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand.

11 What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”

12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”

13 He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.

14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

15 Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.”

16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them.

17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?

18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.

19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

20 These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

Butterfly 15Butterfly 15Butterfly 15

Christians believe that Jesus Christ will come back to earth one day to set up His Heavenly Kingdom. Many Christians believe that with many of the signs and events that are happening in the world, that day may be very soon.

No one knows the date or time of this, only God The Father.

The bible warns us that difficult times will occur ‘in the last days’.

The important thing is that we must be ready. Christians make sure you are putting Jesus first in every area of your life. Mainly this is done by obeying the Two Commandments of Jesus.

The Two Greatest Commandments Matthew chapter 22 verses 34-40

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.

35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’

40 All the Law* and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

(* The Ten Commandments)

When we fully obey these two commandments of Jesus, we will find that we are obeying the Ten Commandments. (Exodus 20:1-17)

Glitter 3

If you are not yet a Christian, but you would like to be, you can ask Jesus to come into your life and trust your whole life, future and self to Him. He will not turn anyone away. He will come to live in your spirit, by means of the Holy Spirit. From then on the Holy Spirit will continually guide you and teach you the way to live in a way that pleases God. Gradually, over your lifetime, God will sanctify you (make you ready for Heaven).

Butterfly 10

2 Peter chapter 3 The Day of the Lord

1 Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking.

2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Saviour through your apostles.

3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.

6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.

7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

14 So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

2 Timothy chapter 3 verses 1-5 & 12-17

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
