Whatever you are faced with today or this year, God will give you the strength and the provision to succeed in your task, if you pray and ask for His help and then do your part as best you can and trust Him completely for the things you can’t do.  Put God first place in your life, do your very best to please Him in all you do and then leave the consequences to God. He is all wise and all loving. He knows what’s best for you. If you have never asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life and be your Personal Saviour and Lord, you may feel as if God doesn’t listen to your prayers. Jesus Christ is the only way we can have access to God the Father. We have to be truly sorry for our sins and confess them and turn away from them. Once we honestly do this and we have asked Jesus to be Lord of our life He will be a very close, faithful, unseen friend.  He will guide and comfort you through life’s ups and downs.

Holy Bible  (Ephesians 6:10-18).

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

By George Duffield, Jr., 1858

Stand up, stand up for Jesus! Ye soldiers of the cross;

Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss:

From victory unto victory, His army shall He lead,

Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The trumpet call obey

Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day;

Ye that are men now serve Him against unnumbered foes;

Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus! Stand in His strength alone,

The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own;

Put on the gospel armour, and watching unto prayer,

Where calls the voice of duty, be never wanting there.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The strife will not be long;

This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song;

To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be;

He with the King of glory shall reign eternally.

The devil and God are at war with each other, and we are in the middle of this spiritual battle Yes, the Bible does teach that we are in the midst of an unseen spiritual conflict between God and Satan—one in which Satan is constantly trying to gain victory over us. The Bible says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against … the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). These are sobering words, and they should warn us to be on our guard, and not ignore our responsibility to believe in Christ and live for Him. They also should remind us of our need to face the devil and his temptations with God’s strength, and not rely on our own resources to meet Satan’s challenges. This is why the Bible tells us to “Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11). Through prayer, through the truth of God’s Word, through the Spirit, and through our fellowship with other believers we can resist the devil’s assaults.

But you should remember two truths about the devil.

First of all, he is a defeated foe! Satan was first created as an angel in heaven by God, but he became proud and wanted to be mightier than God. Thus he was thrown out of heaven by God. By His death and resurrection Jesus Christ overcame the devil, and someday He will come again to bring an end to Satan’s influence over the universe.

Second, when we know Christ, we are safe in God’s hands forever. Is your faith and trust in Christ? Make sure of your commitment to Him today.

As Christians we will not always have an ‘easy’ life.

We are in a battlefield not a playground!

I Am On The Battlefield For My Lord

 (written by Sylvana Bell & E.V. Banks)

I am on the battlefield for my Lord.

I’m on the battlefield for my Lord,

and I promised Him that I would serve Him ’til I die;

I’m on the battlefield for my Lord.

Verse 1

I was alone and idle,

I was a sinner too.

I heard a voice from heaven say there is work to do.

I took the Master’s hand, and I joined the Christian band;

I’m on the battlefield for my Lord.

Verse 2

I left my friends and kindred

bound for the Promised Land,

the grace of God upon me,

the Bible in my hands.

In distant lands I trod,

crying sinner come to God;

I’m on the battlefield for my Lord.

Verse 3

Now when I met my Saviour,

I met Him with a smile,

He healed my wounded spirit,

and owned me as Hs child.

Around the throne of grace,

He appoints my soul a place;

I’m on the battlefield for my Lord.
